Below is a brief biography that I hope will help make your selection easier. Please feel free to contact me any time at (415) 377-7145 if you have questions about my services or Women's Advantage.
Susan Bilney brings over 20 years of experience in business management and personal development to her career as a professional coach. Working in a broad range of business industries and environments, she has held executive and management level positions including Vice President of Operations for a telecommunications company, Operations Manager/Marketing for a small business communications company, and Administrative Manager for a non-profit organization serving at-risk teens. In addition to her active business career, Susan has completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Life Skills Education at Sonoma State University. Her combined Master's program integrated the disciplines of psychology and education with an objective of developing proficiency in teaching life skills to adults of all ages. While completing her coursework, Susan was invited to be a university instructor at Sonoma State University. She developed and taught a curriculum in Relationship Skills for university level students. Soon after, she chose professional coaching as her life direction so she could utilize her skills to help other women shape the professional and personal lives they truly wanted. Susan is now the successful owner of Women's Advantage, a coaching business which focuses on helping women make significant transitions in their professional lives. Susan brings a unique understanding of women's challenges to her business based on years of experience as a business manager and as a mentor to others seeking to transform an unsatisfying career. A graduate of Coach U., one of the leading and oldest accredited coaching schools in the U.S., Susan is also a member of the International Coaching Federation, the local chapter of the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), Toastmasters, the National Organization of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and her local chamber of commerce. She is an active participant in A Hand-Up Coaching (AHUC), a non-profit organization working with low-income women in their professional lives. AHUC operates in conjunction with the national organization Dress for Success. Susan has also volunteered her coaching services to events such as the "Women Seeing Beyond Today" conference, which facilitates the empowerment of women and provides opportunities for strengthening women's communities.
